[citation][nom]ankaj[/nom]"Disclosure documents filed with Congress two weeks ago revealed that Apple, which provides iChat and FaceTime for iOS devices, is currently lobbying on the backdoor topic."Lobbying for or against?[/citation]

Most likely against. If they were for it they wouldn't have to spend time or money.

Who's the bigger threat here? Terrorists of the government? We take democracy for granted but dictatorship has been the only type of government since the dawn of time. DON'T give it up to fight software pirates or even terrorists.

So much for freedom and justice, eh. This is a slippery slope...I am relishing my residence in Canada right now but as far as I'm concerned, things can rapidly deteriorate anywhere.

[citation][nom]joe bag of donuts[/nom]the FBI and it's contractors are full of really stupid dumb fucks... ya think really bad people will radio their moves on facebook, fucking get real. the FBI wants it for background investigations... security clearance work... there goes our freedom of expression and freedom of speech... ever since they lost the fight against terrorism they went after folks who downloaded porn... now when there aren't any porn freaks left they need to feed all their contractors... the ratio of "good guys" looking for "bad guys" is well over 250000:1 it's time we sent some of these intelligence analysts back to the malls and back to the shoe stores where they came from in the first place.[/citation]

A lot of people are that stupid. They will say what they are doing on Facebook.

[citation][nom]jom[/nom]Good chance to migrate Google+ ??[/citation]

Do you really think that if Facebook and everyone else is getting yelled at by the FBI (even if it's over something that they should either already have or just get access to through agencies who do have it), that Google isn't also getting yelled at?

[citation][nom]TheZoolooMaster[/nom]"only apply if a threshold of a certain number of users is exceeded"So why is Yahoo on the list then?[/citation]

Yahoo probably has a huge amount of users, even right now. It isn't what it used to be, but it is still a large online presence.

The FBI is just having a hard time finding hookers sense their main squeez for addresses (the Secret Service) got busted out and can no longer have any fun.

[citation][nom]chumly[/nom]Espionage is defined as the act of spying. The government is The People, then committing acts of espionage against The People is committing acts of espionage against the government. If you are a member of this government, then you are committing acts of espionage against your own. There's a word for this: Treason. These people are betraying your government and the ideals of liberty. They are the criminals, not the people.[/citation]

so how to screw them? Use skype and at the same time teamspeak. Person A talks in skype and person B hears what is said there.

But instead of talking thru Skype Person B talks in TS and Person A hears what is said in TS. Therefore stupid control freaks cant listen to the whole conversation.

The FBI has supposedly even sought input from the its secretive Operational Technology Division in Quantico, Va., a division that claims to be working on the "latest and greatest investigative technologies to catch terrorists and criminals."

I take it they didn't take Geography? Look on a map. That big chunk of land is called the United States (or soon to be the North American Union as some are saying). Just under it is a country called Mexico. All your "investigative technologies" are futile unless you are willing to represent the needs and wishes of the American people in putting a solid line between these two countries.

Further, the bankers and offshore interests behind them. You need to investigate them, including their ties with American corporations. When you're doing this, include the money trail that leads to the Federal Reserve, in particular the manner in which money is demanded by it, and whether this is illegal.

I doubt very much you will.

I think you've got more chance of finding Obama's real birth certificate, than you have of him providing a definitive answer on this issue BEFORE the election. He's not stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds, unless he's desperate and his approval ratings are even more miserable than before..

"terrorists and criminals"

If all else fails, fall back on propaganda.. the kind that forfeits constitutional right to question and scrutiny under the guise of national security. The watchers can never be watched, and without any single shadow of doubt, history shows that this is the real path to tyranny..

Also like to point out that Obama's administration has a propaganda army that specifically targets social networking, seeking out views which oppose or are critical of government.. you know, things like people exercising their rights to free speech and political dissent. Seems one only need to look at the polls, to appreciate the sheer scale of resentment for Obama and his globalist agenda. Fix that. Fix the border. Fix the corporate fraud. Fix the waste. Fix the wars.

Alternatively, fix all the people guilty of the crime of thought, in the name of patriotism.. freedom.. fighting terror.. being free.. being better than those strange people overseas who live under evil regimes. Do all this whilst the economy is ran into the ground, whilst Americans are losing their homes, their lively-hoods, their land, their rights.. yeah, they'll really appreciate this won't they.

[citation][nom]screwthem[/nom]so how to screw them? Use skype and at the same time teamspeak. Person A talks in skype and person B hears what is said there. You mean to give them one half of a conversation? Then they would just make up what they think that the other half is based on some bogus crap (or make up what they want someone to believe that you have said) and then you're fucked and the person on the other end of your *phone* call might be too. Brilliant, let's give them opportunities to make use of any laws that let's them do what ever they want to by showing them that you want to piss them off. I hope that you don't disappear someday.

Been saying for a while Facebook/Twitter is for Fools/Tools Windows OS has built in back doors. You can bet cash on that. It's all part of the sealed agreement between MS and the Government on their monopoly charges that were secretly settled. Long Live Linux.

[citation][nom]slabbo[/nom]all those companies need to tell the FBI to look up the constitution and then give them the middle finger!!! Seriously this is getting ridiculous. If you want this shift to end, I hope all of you will vote for Ron Paul. He's only one speaking up against this and fights for our liberty/freedoms.[/citation]

You're kidding? Ron Paul is just as bad on numerous other issues and WORSE on several than the Rethuglicans are.

No, you want to get rid of this crap: vote Obama and write to him on a regular basis that these things should not be considered.
