The leader of LulzSec did what? I'm not sure whether I should applaud him for helping the FBI or hate him for being a douche to his cohorts.

Just answer me this will you. If the system is so open, how come it hasn't been severely compromised yet?

Naturally the FBI expects to spend more tax payer dollars in 2012 as the threat increases.

Indeed. It seems this news couldn't have come at a better time for them, could it? Let's find out who's REALLY behind these terrorist organizations and purported enemies, shall we? Let's see where those tax dollars are really ending up too.

[citation][nom]jtt283[/nom]Script kiddies throwing tantrums and fanatical Islamic extremists are two entirely different beasts.[/citation]
But if you put the two together, then you have a problem.

No.

Nobody needs script kiddies, except other script kiddies. They surround themselves with similarly untalented hackers so they can hide from the fact that they're untalented. Anything a script kiddie can do, a genuinely talented hacker can do better, while also being able to perform hacks more complex than "use this automated tool to find websites that are insecure and deface them."

The FBI isn't worried about DDoS attacks or defacing websites. They're worried about things like breaking into power grids and other critical infrastructure. You know, real hacking.

This is known as launching a Weapon of Mass Influence. The outcome being making the US Government react to a threat and expend resources it wouldn't have done otherwise. Today, just the threat of such actions causes nations and corporations to spend countless dollars/euros/yen/etc to secure systems from the possibility of being attacked.

Now, does anyone wonder why we make this into such a big deal?

There is an attack coming. so ... you know.. you should give us more cash. This is nothing more than a suit attempting to gain more cash of his department which will equal more cash in his private pocket.

This paragraph is almost completely filled with nonsense.

Stop watching hollywood movies. If the power grid and the rest of our infrastructure (what, traffic lights? eagle eye anybody?) is "hackable", those are serious engineering design flaws. This is just Mueller playing politics, trying to increase his budget.

This sounds like a large setup to a false flag. The FBI are going to say "There's going to be a huge cyber attack." They will then choose a large company or an online military presence, take it down, and then say it was either Anonymous, Al Quida, or maybe even both working together. They have no reason not to do this.
Adolf Hitler burned down his the Reichstag building, blaming communists, in order to rise to power. Same principal.
The US has done this before. Please google "Tonkin Incident" which started the Vietnam War.

What the fuck are they talking about? What fucking terrorists are attacking our internet? Anonymous? Seriously? Fixing their little "attacks" is costing us THAT much money? More like stupid people who don't know what the fuck they are talking about are being really defensive, and think that by throwing money and people at problems that they just go away. I don't even know what the fucking problem is, and what is there to even gain by trying to attack the fucking internet - it's all just asinine.
