just read this myself but the title is a bit misleading since only the house passed the bill. still has to go through the senate.

from the article itself "Keep in mind that just because the bill passed the House does not mean that it will necessarily become a law. The U.S. Senate still has to vote for it, and the president must approve it."

nice though that it is unanimous and hopefully the senate does not turn it into a joke of a law with tons of loopholes like they tend to do.

They should need a warrant period and a warrant for a specific person's (none of these overly expansive warrants) e-mail. Otherwise they should not be able to pull any e-mail off the servers.

Really we need to start encrypting all e-mail since the feds have proven themselves to be overly nosy in the past and present.
