So will this install along side a FF4 install, or on top of it like the Chrome channels? Good to see they are following up on the accelerated release cycle.

FF4, Chrome10, Opera11 work just fine for me now. I'll only use final releases of future versions. With the accelerated release cycles, the wait won't be too long. Majority of web sties don't implement the latest cutting-edge technologies anyway.

I've got both FF4 and "Nightly" 6.0a1 installed.

I was wondering what happened to my "Minefield" until I saw this article.

Most probably this pc,since I use this one for going to forums etc...A little mighty might ( MSI H55M-E21,1x2 GB stick of corsair ram in a tiny numan case ) with a big cpu heart ( core i5 680 @ 3.591 GHz ) all controlled by the world famous windows XP Pro x32 retail boxed OS with IE8...Soon to eventually install Mozilla's Firefox 5...

Tom, you gotta do something about these ads... FF4 works just fine for now.

Dude, get with the times man, upgrade that thing to 4GB of Ram and install Windows 7 x64. That thing will haul a$$!

Dude, can someone PLEASE get rid of all the ADS in the comments??? WHEW, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! On a lighter note, Firefox 4 is still fairly recent and I even have a few addons and such that don't quite work right yet (need updated versions), so for myself it seems to make the most sense to stick with what I have for now. My $.02 .

why doesnt tom's just implement a Captcha system for anonymous people submitting comments to cut down on these increasingly annoying spam ad's???

Because that would be a brilliant idea... and it's too easy.

Spam ads are allowed. You don't find a coincidence between the ratings system being taken away at the same time these ads started overwhelming the board?

1. Allow spam ads. make money
2. Do not allow members to vote down ads thus rendering them hidden
3. Shoot middle finger

How about they fix FF4 to not leak memory with hardware acceleration enabled and then we'll see about 5 and 6. I am this close to switching to Chrome.

I have had more issues with the latest versions too. One is not properly closing. Sometimes I will close the browser and then try and reopen it and Windows tells me that I already have FF running. I either have to wait or restart my computer.

Hopefully with Aurora, this will allow less issues/bugs. It looks as if each release will have a 6 week cycle http://www.softwarecrew.com/2011/04/firefox-aurora-release-heralds-new-development-cycle-for-firefox/ Hopefully this will help with stability.
