Firefox Deleting Files

I am having an issue with firefox on my windows 7 PC.

The problem is, for example.

1. I click download on a file
2. Let it save it to the default directory which is my downloads folder.
3. If I open the file by clicking on it in firefox then close firefox it will delete the file so when i try to move any files out the folder i cant because they are not there.

Any solution?

I can't make my Firefox repeat this behavior. What do you mean in #3 "If I open the file by clicking on it in firefox" ?

It's already downloaded to your Download folder. Open it from there.

I agree with USAFRet. In addition, clicking on the folder icon in firefox's download manager will take you right to the file you need.
