Former Opera Employee Sued for Giving Mozilla Trade Secrets

Personally I love opera, but the rendering engine in it is getting hopeless.
I look forward to trying out a Blink-based version.

So what trade secret was he giving away?
Firefox started as a lean, mean, tabbed browser. It just got bloated to the point where it's at today. If that's what Opera is suing for go ahead, I don't see this working out.

I've been a user of Opera for a couple of years. I tried all versions of the 12.xx series and it's been a huge mess. I've switched to firefox for now. It doesn't have the speed of Opera, but it's stable and renders pages more reliably. Once they release version 14 with webkit, I'll give it another try as I like the interface a bit better, the built-in mail reader and IRC. This lawsuit isn't going to help to retain their user base. Instead of focusing on trivial legal issues, they should get opera 14 out the door ASAP. My 2 cents.
