Use at Close Range:
If there is anything thing important that you should know about the dual pistols is that these pistols are best used at a very close range. This is because pistols have never been strong at a long range as they don’t have the desired range and damage to be effective at enemies that are at a long distance. So you should be using the dual pistols when you are up close and personal with the enemies as you will get most out of the dual pistols then.
Use as Secondary Weapon:
Now this is not a fixed rule of using the pistols as a secondary weapon but if you want to make sure that you do not run out of bullets and the enemy is still standing, it is best to use them as a secondary weapon. You can always pair up the pistols with a shotgun. You can blast the enemies with a shotgun and then finish them off in old school style with the dual pistols. This way, you will have a good backup weapon at a close range as both the shotgun and dual pistols are great a close range.
Aim for the Head:
This is a common case with all pistols except the shotguns with pallets as the pallets miss most of the body if shot on the head. Anyways, the best way to utilize your dual pistols is to fire them at the head of an enemy. This way, you will be doing a lot of damage to the enemy with the secondary weapon like a pistol. The good thing about using the dual pistols to shoot at the head of an enemy is that if you just get two hits at the head, you can take out all of the shield and half of the health of the enemy. This is just great and if you successfully land two headshots, you can take down the enemy easily.
No First Shot Accuracy:
This is true! The dual pistols do not have the first shot accuracy mechanism. This means that your shots will spread at random arrangement and your first shout is not guaranteed to land exactly where you want it to land. So the best thing is to just keep trying to shoot the head and one or two may hit the head, giving you good hit damage.
