Hello,
I have been using JVC-audio compact disc recordable (74 mins) for at least 12 years and never had a problem in the quality. However, now I noticed the discs are turning yellow/brown from the edges inwards. This has a negative effect on the last recordings on the discs. The sound breaks up into fragments. Will all my JVC discs eventually be effected? They have all been stored in individual plastic CD boxes. Has anyone experienced the same fault with JVC?

Yes. Home recorded CD-rs have a basic lifespan of 10 years. You can purchase higher quality disk, which range up to a few bucks per, and are labeled archival quality.
