I've noticed over the past few months that, whenever my laptop is jostled much, I get the found new hardware bing bong sound. The only thing connected to my laptop is the charger and a Logitech M510 Mouse.

I've tried removing the mouse receiver, and it still makes the same sound whenever I jostle the laptop.

I've tried looking in device manager, but there are no errors, but every time I jostle the laptop and get the sound, the list refreshes, although I can't see anything different.

I've tried the find new hardware wizard, and I've tried updating the drivers for pretty much everything, but it says everything is up to date.

I figure there's something loose inside the laptop, but I have no clue how to begin tracing it down, does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting guides that may help.
- First, do run Windows Update and install all the updates available.
- Next if the same problem will persist is proceed with opening the laptop and clean the inside of it.
- Remove the dust off the fans and while your at it apply new thermal paste on the CPU as well.
- Once done, do also check all the connection inside the laptop specially the ribbon cable of the touchpad.
- Reseat the RAM's and HDD as well, remove them both off the laptop then put them back in just to make sure everything is seated porperly.
- Lastly if all these will not work I would check the manufacturer site for any BIOS update there is.
- And if all these will still not work, do reinstall Windows.
