Foxconn Admits to Gearing Up for Apple's iTV

Must point out that Apple does not own the name iTV. There is a long standing company
in the UK called ITV who have made it quite clear they will defend their name strongly. You
shouldn't be using the term as if Apple owns it until they actually do.

Wikipedia... But 2 trillion YEN, so sharp is worth USD 32B. These are all total assets from wikipedia. Also Samsung is the Group not the Electronics company.

It will be interesting to see how voice control of a tv works out when more than one person tries to control it at the same time.

It will also be interesting to see if the release of the itv changes interactive tvs from something that nobody cares about to a must have item like the ipad did for tablets.

The big question is will apple claim that 1920x1080 is retina, or will they go with a higher resolution.

Samsung has the Galaxy Note, which is an amazing device and is one of the most popular android phones right now, they also have the S2 which again looks nothing like an iPhone. Apple attacked Samsung because they know that they are an actual competitor and that they are losing sales to them because in the end Samsung does win in a lot of places. Just a reminder on how apple photo shopped the galaxy S to make it look more like an iphone. That was pretty funny. Besides, your apple fanboys ass doesn't even know that without Samsung, the iPhone would probably look a LOT differently right now... since you know, Samsung has always piched something in. For example the new iPad's screen is done by Samsung. The "APPLE" a4/a5/a5x chips are ALL made by Samsung and only designed by Apple. Sony is Japanese. Sharp is Japanese. Samsung is Korean. Sir, you have no argument, and you bash on companies that are much bigger then apple, they FEED apple with the necessary parts that Apple needs for its products, and their products often beat that of Apple. If Samsung was worried about Apple pushing it out of the market, they would have long ago stopped manufacturing half of their products for them.[/citation]

LOL - if all you can fault them on is design, not a very tempting argument,, there are alot of companies that copy other companies, the main difference is that they don't usually make parts for the other,, Samsung makes a ton of parts for apple and makes alot of other products that apple doesn't currently, such as TV's, Stereos - Appliances even,, sure they may not make some original design choices for tablet or phone, but really if you are trying to go minimalistic approach that apple does, there really isn't alot of design choices left.

a few years ago i would have been hard pressed to sell a friend on buying samsung, but now i would say one of the best manufacturers in the world in terms of quality AND quantity - not many other companies can say so,, alot of the "big" brand TV vendors don't even produce their own panels, in alot of cases it is a sammy or LG underneath.

Company name is ITV, not iTV, plus there is the rest of the world, not just UK, where this is not trademarked or even known.
