Laptops as a rule do not make great gaming machines. I noticed you mention you can play for around 5 minutes before the frame rate drops. does the cooling fan get louder during this time ? I suspect you may be suffering with throttling / heat issues.

when i play far cry 3 on integrated graphics fps is normal, game is normal on low settings and runs very good. When i play far cry 3 on high ,he rules good 5 min and after fps drop :(.So the problem is not the processor!

Everything you describe sounds like a heat problem. Under higher load your CPU or gpu start to overheat and throttle down performance to stop damage. Download a program like cpu-z and monitor the temperatures, then let us know what the temperatures are when the performance drops.

The only other things which are less likely from your description but you can try them anyway are scanning for a virus or reinstalling your graphics drivers. I doubt it is these though.

CPU-Z will not record temperature - but "core Temp" will - run a game for twenty mins or so, quit and load Core Temp - it will give you a reasonable guide.

Identical laptops they maybe, but if yours has more dust inside, or is even used in a warmer environment it could cause problems

Hello! Could someone help me? I have the same problem.
I own MSI GE72 2QD Apache laptop
With i7-4720HQ 2,6ghz, 8gb ram, 960m Nvidia gpu.

It was fine for first three month, afther that I have noticed high cpu temp, even idle its 65-70 degrees celcius.
I contacted msi support, they suggested me to give my pc for warranty service, but nearest service is in other country, like 500KM from me and it would take like month for them to give their opinion, and as I have installed SSD myself I suppose my warranty is lost.

I have even applied new thermal paste (not the cheapest one) and still nothing changed.
When gaming its about 85 degrees and in games like GTA 5 it starts to lag.
Although I have this Cooler boost feature, as soon as I start it pc stops lagging but temps doesnt change..
