Fresh Windows 8 giving me trouble

So its a long one but here we go. A while back I was out if town and came back to one of my rare earth magnets on my hard drive. My little cousin admitted to playing with it and put it there when he was done. So I went out, bought a new hard drive, and here's where my trouble began. I bought windows 8, installed it. Now every time I log on it freezes on a black screen right after the Asus logo, or I can log in and seconds after my icons loading, it freezes. Everything run perfect in safe mode. I put my BIOS setting to IDE because AHCI was failing way before what I can get to now. But I still can't get past this phase. Please help! Also this is my first post, if I did anything wrong please let me know!

I would update the ASUS bios, and check for driver errors.
