Ok, if the price was a bit cheaper, I could see this being used in a club,etc. However, At ~$200 it's quite over priced.

This is as bad as Dyson's bladeless deskfan for $200, Ok so the fan is bladeless big whoop, does it blows air just like any other $15 fan.

no offence but in Europe it's 2 years old already... It's cool, played with it in the shops, very nice for those romantic moments. If you want to improve them for 200$ then it's a good investment.
If you want to use it to read the paper or while watching TV, forget about it.

I have had this lamp for over a year. Although its expensive it does give you the opportunity to make the room look different when you feel like it. (bloody red for horror movies )
A drawback is that you have to aim it at a wall (you dont want it shining in your eyes) and that wall has to be white in order for the colours to be at their best.

The projected lifespan of 8 to 10 years, "based on an average use of 1-1/2 hours a day," doesn't exactly inspire confidence as well. Especially since the light only comes with a year's warranty

i am sure that the leds last much longer, the elecronics....not so much
