Fujifilm camera reset A850

Despite replacing the batteries, my fujifilm A850 has "died" - won't start up when pressing on/off button - any suggestions please ?

Does sound bad. But try taking out the batteries and leaving it overnight.

Tried taking out batteries and leaving overnight - didn't work. The problem occurred when viewing photos - camera appeared to "lock out"

i had the same problem, i found that most batteries were'nt good enough for it! does it make a quiet clicking noise when you try to switch it on? i use rechargable batteries now and they last longer!
