I'm waiting for the day 3D printing becomes mainstream. As much as these are seen as toys now I see them being used for a lot of useful things. As a hobby I work on old cars, being able to print new replacement parts for something that hasn't been available for half a century is very appealing.

Really useful would be culturing organ cells from a patient and printing a new kidney, heart, lung, etc - I would settle for a cup of tea, earl grey, hot though
