[citation][nom]lorddrake[/nom]As somone who almost only buys used games from Gamestop Ive always supported not Copying games, just buy them if you want to play them, or wait for them to hit the 20 dollar price range. But if they start doing this I will swap to the "pirate the hell out of games" side! I think this is complete BS. And instead of buying games legit at a used discount price, I will steal them instead![/citation]
What does it matter if you steal games instead of buying used? Game studios get no money from you either way! Only the purchase of new games helps support the making of new games.

Making games is not a lucrative business for most, as can be seen by the many great game studios that went out of business. GameStop loves selling used because while about 50% of the new game purchase price goes to the retail store that sells it, 100% of the used game price goes to the store. Why should GameStop support the game developers when they can make themselves richer instead?

I support this change. Then again, I only buy games new because I want to support game developers, not game pawnbrokers.

Still, if I bought a used game and had to pay an extra $10 (US I am typing this from Australia) then I would like xyz used game seller to lower the used price of a game by $10 to cover the difference.
Why should buying a used game be any different from a new copy of the same game? Just so some publisher/distributor can make a few extra $ out of me? I don't think so!

If it was say $5 AND it went DIRECTLY and IN FULL to the actual DEVELOPERS; not EA/xyz publisher/distributers then I wouldn't mind as much [used price should be lower by this amount so in essence I am getting the same product and experience as I would have received in paying the inflated price of a new game] as this would actually support the people who actually do all the work (EA etc are just a bunch of salesmen/saleswomen).

I just hope this doesn't become the norm as once it's up and running in the US... more likely other countries [such as myself here in Australia] would see the same thing sooner or later [corporate greed is an evil thing indeed]!
