You should check out the Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880. It has a powerful 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor, 6 GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M graphics. It is great for 3D gaming and video editing.

@bbgink: If you went by the manufacture recommended specs for 3DS you won't really get any work done. 3DS Max is a beast of a program that can eat up RAM for breakfast. (This is assuming complex and high quality renderings).
