I'm getting a new headset for gaming. I need to be able to hear those small details like footsteps. Also after hearing the noise, I need to be able to follow it. I think that this is called surround sound. Anyways it needs to be about 90$ or below. Also comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Any suggestions on what headphones I should get? Thanks for your help.

Like Dylzan said, getting some headphones and a modmic is always better than a headset, maybe a Sony or Audio Technica headphones and a Ant Lion modmic 4.0 would be best.

If your insistent on headsets have a look at the Steelseries Siberia V3, Corsair H2100, and Plantronics Gamecom 788.
