Gaming Laptop $3000 budget

Okay so I have been looking around lately for one of the best gaming laptops without exceeding $3000. The laptop needs i7 2nd Gen. processor, really beast graphics/video card, 16GB ram, a lot of Hard drive space or a lot of SSD space, Blu ray writer and reader, Bluetooth, internet (wifi), webcam plus mic. and Windows 7. I don't NEED all of these features so if you know a laptop that has most of these specs please feel free to comment some beast notebooks/laptops. Preferred brands ASUS and MSI. Any other brands are fine.




The MSI GT780DXR-446US looked amazing for only $1,800. Then I found this site www.xoticpc.com and was able to customize it and make it pretty beast for $2,860. But I need a lot more opinions before I go and buy this notebook!

I'd look at the Clevo P170 series models here (great website):

Pick the model ya want and then go back and buy it from XoticPC.com

Tho the MSI looks like a very comparable unit, I have had better luck with Clevo designs than Asus / MSI when not using the "base price" processor.

However....this is a gaming laptop and therefore.

-I don't see ya getting the bang for the buck w/ the 2860 CPU over the 2670 for the $350

-I don't see ya getting the bang for the buck w/ the 16 GB 1866 RAM over the 8Gb 1600 for the $245

-I don't see ya getting anything at all outta RAID HD's, I'd opt for an Intel 520 120 Gb w/ a 750 GB HD ....or get the Momentus 750 which is a SSD and a HD hybrid.

-Unless this is ya only PC ya gonna own, I'd get a BR Player, not Writer in a lappie.

BTW, the P170HM-3DE gives ya nViddia 3D w/ an included pair of glasses.

Thank you for your feedback, love the site. The only major reason why I have not went with Sager/Clevo is because they do not offer a backlit keyboard. This will be my Desktop/Laptop. Now without upgrading Sager/Clevo is one of the best brands above MSI. After upgrading giving both of them with basically the same specs the sager/clevo is more money. Except the MSI will have a 720 p web cam, insane audio, and a backlit keyboard. And the Sager would have a better trackpad, fingerprint scanner, and I have heard these keyboards respond better. Tough call though still trying to get the best for my buck
