So i'm gonna be buying one of these 2 laptops, was previously considering the Lenovo Y-5070, but now it's down to these 2.
1.Asus: http/http/www.amazon.com/GL551JM-15-Inch-Gaming-Laptop-VERSION/dp/B00MMMMMX2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
2.Acer: http/http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314702&cm_re=acer_aspire_v15_nitro_black_edition-_-34-314-702-_-Product
Acer one comes without SSD where i live, other specs are the same as the one in the Newegg link. Asus has about $50 premium in price over the Acer.
So, by the specs, Acer has a few advantages over Asus and seems to be a better deal here, but after reading that Acer's battery is glued, i'm a bit discomforted by that fact. From my previous experiences, if battery stays inserted while the laptop is also plugged in, battery will become unstable and eventually break. It may seem like a minor thing, but to me it isn't.
So what do ya think? Should i be too concerned about the battery to ignore the superior display and-despite being more expensive, pick up the Asus?

As you can see Acer offers IPS and a bigger screen.
Asus has slightly faster HDD(7200 vs 5400 in the Acer), and it's got a more powerful battery and it appears to be a "smart battery" too, which i believe it means it cuts off the power once it's 100% charged, which is an absoultely necessary feature for the Acer, but i couldn't confirm with the manufacturer here. Evertyhing else is roughly the same
