My budget is $1500 CAD. I may be able to stretch it to $1600.
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15.6"
3. What screen resolution do you want?
1920x1080 is good
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I need this laptop to be relatively portable as I will bring it to school.
5. How much battery life do you need?
As much as possible. 3 hours and up (preferably 5 hours and up)
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Too many games to list
but a 1050ti or 1060 will do.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
I'm goning to use this for school and also some video editing (premiere pro and after effects and maybe blender)
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
1tb HDD. I don't need an SSD, but if the laptop you've chosen comes with one, I wouldn't mind.
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Places that accept CAD and are in Canada. Canada computers and Amazon are fine.
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
At least 4 years.
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Doesn't matter. I seldom use one on my current laptop and if I need to use it, I can buy an external one.

Any brand is fine.

I'd like a Ryzen 7 or an i7 if possible.
