I am looking for a laptop for my brother and wanted to find one that is very powerful graphically and can play modern games at low or medium resolution.
Preferably a 1080p screen display if possible ;)
15.6'' display, Thanks I would REALLY appreciate it ;)

I dont think you'll get a good gaming laptop for under 500€ at most you'll get a decend thing able to run like minecraft and csgo on medium to low settings. A gaming laptop is not generally super high end, let alone at that price range

Sadly, there is no such thing as a fullHD gaming laptop within the price range of 500€, with 15,6 inch display. In the world of computers, you can't have a cheap good thing, cheap and good - two different things. You can get a cheap laptop, yes, but it won't be good for gaming. You can get a good laptop, if you throw in another 300-400€, but that's not really cheap.

You could maybe go for a Intel i5-5200U + AMD Radeon R7 M360 and Full HD, 15,6" without OS.

The R7 M360 is not really a strong graphics card unfortunately, but i think that's the best hardware you could get for 499€, IF you want full HD resolution:

edit: I have the same problem like you, i also tried to find a decent "gaming" laptop for under 500. But i didn't really find anything i liked. So i moved up by 100€.
For 599€, you can get full HD, i5-6200U and Nvidia 940M.

The CPU is only around 5% faster, but the GPU is around 80% better.
I think the 940M is probably the cheapest card if you want to play modern games with "acceptable" framerates.

This is what i'm probably going to buy soon:

Wow, i wonder why i didn't find that offer all the time.
Looks really solid to me, of course it depends on what your brother wants to play.
You can check out the Framerate you can expect with certain games if you scroll down on this page:
http://www.notebookcheck.com/NVIDIA-GeForce-940M.134809.0.html

For example CS:GO in 1080p at 68fps, Sims 4 maxxed out at ~30fps, Far Cry 4 mid details 1376x768 around 30fps.
So it's okay for gaming, but on some really hardware-hungry-titles you'll have to play on low resolutions and low details.

The next stronger GPU is the 945M or GTX 950M, the cheapest laptop with that card starts at 699€... So as i said, 940M is probably the only real option around 500€.

I was just on amazon.com where the laptop is 500 euro and found out that it doesn't ship to Ireland where I live. I then tried amazon.co.uk and it ended up roughly 580 euro. Is there any other way to get the laptop for 500?

Meh, now i get why amazon didn't show me those much cheaper offers. Most laptops are simply 100$ cheaper in the US, and us europeans just have to pay more. Really fair..
The cheapest i5-6200u + 940M + Full HD shipping to germany i can find is 587€, i guess we just have to deal with it.
