Hi, I know you're all going to hate this but I need your help.
I'm currently a junior in high school and I'm looking for a computer. I need one for gaming but more importantly for college. I will be using this computer(a laptop) for gta V but that's it for gaming. In college I figure a laptop will be necessary, thus my decision against a desktop pc. Anyway, in college I'll be studying engineering so I'll need this for cad but I'll be getting a desktop pc for that later too.
Basically I know I need a laptop with a good cpu and a strong gpu and I've been looking for one(checked msi and alienware so far) for a while now but all these seemingly random numbers are confusing me. Anyway, I desperately need your help. Thanks in advance.

Also, my budget maxes out around 2000, give or take. Portability isn't that huge of an issue(I'm a big guy) but I do need to be able to bring it between classes.

Solution
For your budget I would recommend looking at these 2 laptops.

ASUS ROG G751JT-DH72 - very powerful laptop, large screen at 17.3 inches @ 1080p, can run many games on high maybe ultra with good fps, quality components, no problems with any engineering programs, 256 GB SSD + 1 tb hdd x2 (so two 1tb hdd on this guy). Heavy for a laptop and battery only will last ~ 3 hours with applications going.

Dell XPS 13 9343-7273SLV - Ultrabook (very light 2.8 pounds), High res 13.3 inch screen that also has touch screen enabled, 256 gb ssd, long battery life, can play gta V smooth (though not sure with max setting) along with other games.
