I bought an Aspire v3-572-78R3 in September and it came with an integrated Intel HD 4400 graphics card. I've been struggling to play certain games smoothly and get a constant 30fps. I didn't realize that integrated graphics cards are seriously lacking in gaming ability.

Is there any suggestions for getting the most out of this laptop? I'm trying to optimize everything by reducing the resolution and settings but it's still quite poor :(

The only option to "increase" the gaming performance from 4400 is to ensure that your RAM is operating in dual channel mode and have atleast 8 gb in dual channel mode.

Download this free tool called Speccy from here
http://filehippo.com/download_speccy/download/e2178c61e4d1d6d5b876f2a3cf32204d/
Go to the RAM section and see how many slots for RAM you have and in what configuration they are in. To operate in dual channel mode, your laptop must have at least 2 RAM slots and there should be 2X4gb RAM. If there is 1X8gb, you can buy another 8gb and they will operate in dual channel. However, if you have just one RAM slot, you cannot use the dual channel mode. You can also post a screenshot of the RAM section of Speccy and accordingly, further suggestions can be made.

Okay I see, I downloaded it and it told me this

8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

So does that mean the full 8GB is already in dual-channel mode?

It also says I have 2 slots remaining for RAM, what is your opinion on getting another 8GB? I'm not sure how it would affect my performance since the integrated graphics is quite abysmal. It may be like putting lipstick on a pig.

Thanks again.
