Gateway - ne56r41u cpu upgrade

Can i upgrade the cup on the gateway - ne56r41u and if so what cup shoud i replace it with ( It curently has an Intel Pentium B960 / 2.2 GHz)

That CPU may be replaceable. To find out, you need to open your laptop and see what socket it's in, if it can be removed. Issue with laptops is that there is no sure way to know what will work or not without trying it. Update the BIOS and try some CPUs. I would just replace the old laptop with something newer. Messing with laptops if you are not already comfortable with them to make it faster can have a chance of breaking it fully. Do you want a slower working one or a broken one with faster CPU?

A solid state drive will make the system feel faster than a different CPU would, and upgrade to RAM if you only have 2 or 4 gb.
