Gateway netbook doesnt turn on

Hello,
I was working on my gateway mini laptop last night, and today I went to turn it on and the power button will not light up, I've plugged it into another power outlet and still no power. Have any idea what is happening

Dead battery? Unplug it from the outlet, Take out the battery, hold the power button down for 5 seconds, then put the battery back in, plug it in and try to turn it on.
