Which will process faster, AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual core processor or Intel core i3-350m ?

Definitely i3-350m will be faster, since Athlon64X2 is an old technology unless your talking about Athlon II.
Clock to clock basis Athlon II will be slower than Core i3. If you're getting a laptop, I would say go with Core i3

I concur. Go with the i3. If the i3 is in the HP, I would recommend getting an extended warranty to guard against HP's notoriously unreliable laptops.

u cant really compare i3 with athlon x2, as athlon x2 is much cheaper, like the dual core of intel. i3 is comparable to phenom tirple core processors like the n830
