Get deleted pictures back from a Motorola

I accidentally deleted some pictures and I want them back as soon as possible

You go to your backup that you should have and copy the file back over.

"Motorola" does not tell us anything useful, at best we can assume it is an android phone.
Do you use any sort of cloud-sync to save your pictures?
Is the pictures saved to an SD card or internal memory?
