Question Getting into music recording and productiion

Ive recently decided to get into music recording and production. What would be the best way to learn all there is to learn about audio and music prodution and stuff as a beginner. I know little about sound, but id like to learn all of it, from terminology to all the various methods of produciton. What are the best online resources to do so.

1. Go to school.
2. While in school, get a part time gig at a local music studio.
