GIGABYTE P34W v4 Screen Freeze

Hey guys,

My GIGABYTE P34W v4 has been sent in for two RMAs to address an issue where my laptop will completely freeze for a few seconds. This typically happens when the Fan Speed changes while running high-end applications (e.g. games), but can also happen randomly.

GIGABYTE has yet to fix this issue and I've waited 2 months total.

If anyone knows what's going on here and how to resolve this issue, please let me know!

Hi,

Do try doing 1. clean install of the graphics card driver and 2. do a factory reset.
- Start by going into Device Manager and uninstall the NVIDIA driver.
- Do also check Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to NVIDIA.
- Next is to download and install the latest graphics driver from the manufacturer site.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
- Once installed reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.
- After the reboot do set NVIDIA as the default graphics card.

And if these will not work do a complete factory reset with your laptop.
