Giving Canadian Bought Laptop to UK Family

I have an Acer Aspire 725-0691 laptop which I bought in Canada and want to give to family in the UK. If I buy a UK charger will it work safely in UK or will it blow the fuse?

I know many laptops come with universal chargers, but perhaps not all of them do. You should contact Acer and ask them if it comes with a universal charger. If it does then all that is necessary is an AC plug adapter. The US and Canada uses Type A (2 pins) and B (3 pins). I think the UK uses Type G.

A lot of chargers will work on both voltages,check the label on your charger and see if it supports 230V it will have something like :
Input voltage 110 - 230
