Hey everyone. If I have a Dell Inspiron with an 8600GT card, would there be a conflict/performance difference if the mobo's chipset is a GM965? I know if you have a dedicated card, you should have the PM965 but my laptop has the GM965.

Can that be an issue?

Thanks.

Looking at the feature set in intel's specs they should be almost exactly the same, with the only difference being the integrated graphics, and the power management functions related to it.

Dell putting it into the laptop IMO is more about having a single part for all the laptops regardless of the features. That way they can have a standard shell and then just add bits instead of essentially two serparate assembly lines.
