Go Pro Hero 3 video playback

Hey - I just got my new Go Pro 3 black series and I love love love it. BUT my computer is not powerful enough. I have a Centrino 2 processor and am looking to get a new laptop. I'm not technical but I am looking for advice on a good laptop that I can use for processing videos and pics. PLEASE help!!

You shouldn't need much of a laptop to play movies from your GoPro. But you'll need something pretty good to edit them.

Most editing software needs at least 4 cores of CPU (eg i7 3630QM) and as much CUDA cores from the graphics card as possible - at least a GT650M or preferable a GTX660M or better. And you should get at least 8GB or even 16GB of RAM.
This would cost you somewhere about US$1000.

You could always keep your laptop for playing the movies and get a PC to do the editing. PC's for editing are about 2/3 the price of an equivalent laptop.

Good answer! Any suggestions on a decent/good choice on a laptop? I'm sure the PC's are less expensive but I do need something portable. A friend of mine suggested a Lenovo Thinkpad T430 Core i7 - mostly because I assumed the processor wasn't fast enough. I really really appreciate your help!!

The T430 doesn't have quite as good CPU (i7 3520M) as the i7 3630M. And it's graphics card isn't that strong. And you'd have to specify the amount of memory you want ( up to 16GB - good). And you can opt for an SSD and 7200rpm HDD. All good.
Your best laptop for the buck depends on your budget.
