I have actually a DMC-FZ18 and DMC-FZ8 and am pretty ignorant at this point about each. I don't really understand lens conversion issues ... adapter 'rings', adapter 'tubes', pros/cons of various sizes ... I gather that there are more choices in one size vs. other sizes [55mm? 58mm? 60-something mm ?]. and I am wondering about mismatched threads, inside vs. outside threads, etc.
Have so far been unable, via web searches, to solve my questions.
Please could someone reco the right choice in an adapter for one/both of these cams, and a good brand or specific choice in a telephoto lens. My wife has a knack for wildlife photography and we live in an area that gives us a lot of chances to learn.
