Hello.
1. What is your budget? $400-500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 13”-15.9”

3. What screen resolution do you want? At least 1080

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable (using it during college, but I have a desktop at home)

5. How much battery life do you need? At least 8 hours

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes, but only online games or BlueStack Android games (light games, probably on Medium)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Web surfing, excel sheets and calculations

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 1TB, or 1000GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. None, although I do have Amazon Prime.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? At least for 2-3 years, maybe more

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? As in DVD? Don't really need it. SD card would be nice.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. As long as it is good.

13. What country do you live in? US.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. I am looking for a good college laptop for the 400-500 dollar price range. The things I NEED would be a long battery life (8 hours minimum), 1000GB storage, and for it to last for at least 2-3 years. The things I PREFER would be at least an i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM (although I could buy a second RAM stick), 1080p, and a decent keyboard. The things I do NOT need would be a touch screen, as I would never, ever use it.

8 hours battery life, 1080 screen, 8gb RAM, 1TB HDD - you have to up your budget. If you go down on screen size and resolution, and lower the storage, you will be closer.

Go to Amazon / NewEgg, put these filters in play, and see what you can get. Some stores (eg Microsoft) may give you an educational discount, too.
