Good to drain battery?

hi. i usually keep my laptop on my desk and have the power cord plugged in. I was wondering if its good to drain the battery once in a while? does it extend the battery life? or does it not matter

I guess it is not recommended to completely drained lithium ion battery. I may be wrong but this is what i got from an article where i bought my battery

Some say its good other say it's not a good think

My experience: I drained a few battery when I started repairing laptops: mos of them kept charge for about 30 -45 min.

Once drained some of them died while other where ok but didn't keep charge any longer.

So I advise against it.
