And that is the biggest reason that I do not want all of my stuff on the cloud! I prefer my stuff local where I back them up.

There's also some inconsistent information about the percentage of accounts that were affected. The official Gmail blog says 0.02%, not 0.08%

Either way, go Google for actually caring about such a small percentage of their users having trouble, instead of denying it and saying "you're logging in wrong".
 
Guess they should have left GMail in Beta a few more years, you know, till they sorted out the more minor bugs like losing EVERY DAMN EMAIL YOU EVER GOT.
