In most cases gmail and gtalk is much more useful and easier. There are only few occasions when wave is the perfect tool for the job. For example when you need to create some list in collaboration with other people. However even there you can use google sites or google docs. At the end wave is somewhere in the middle. Good at everything. The best at almost nothing.
