As others have said. I'm ready to dump the stranglehold that cable has over decent speed internet. I mean there's DSL yea, but for me, it is unstable. It's speed is like a "heartbeat" when you run a bandwidth benchmark on it. And around 5pm it is horrible, while gaming is nearly impossible till around 10 at night. So, I grabbed cable. But it's cost makes me balk.
They get Sprint LTE and Google Fiber launching within mere weeks from each other. Lucky sobs!
Wish Google will come over to North CA to fk the local ATT monopolies / comcast monopolies.
Considering 23% of americans dont use the internet at all (according to the most recent surveys), kansas city is probably a pretty average city compared to the rest of the US at 17%.
"Google has spent loads of money laying down its fiber network only to discover a portion doesn't even access the Internet"
I imagine they already knew that.
all these people bitchin about Fiber and yet if you live near a major interstate in a sprint zone there is already fiber there since the early to mid 90's.
sprint is some pretty cheap bastards holding out on connecting directly to those fiber trunk lines with fiber roots.
Nice
