Google Improving Image Search Speed, Reliability

Maybe they should focus on making their text searches better. I usually get pages of trash that is irrelevant to what I was searching for now a days.

"New" sounds great and all, but how much bandwidth will it use in comparison? Will it give an indication of how many KB an image is before you click the thumbnail? I still use the old Google images search and I don't plan on changing anytime soon, because it gives me these details.

For those who want to know how to use the old search, simply append &sout=1 to the end of your Google image results URL.

You also get various browser addons and userscripts that force the old style automatically. Userscripts.org and Mozilla's addon depository are good places to start. Swiss Knife extension for Opera.

Chrome can go and suck a rock. Let the botnet die.
