Sad indeed. The open internet has been one of our last worldwide freedoms in the world.

However, it's hilarious that they want to control the internet because for us IT experts we can create our own servers and use our own networks.

starting to think this myself in the uk we are being told that certain cretins in government want to censor the web beginning with all adult entertainment. ( they say they want to protect the children) as its an easy target for back door censorship.

im sorry the best way to protect children is to educate them yet our government in the same breath is refusing to endorse and even de-funding sex ed in schools.
all the while these very same people are being accused of covering up past and current cases of paedophilia amongst the people they work/'d with every day
yet they still insist they have the right to tell us what is morally acceptable behaviour.

governments represent the peoples will, they don't rule us. any government that thinks different is a tyranny. and tyranny must be fought. whether in the streets or on the internet. its all the same battle and we all need to be ready to fight it.

And how would that work in a world whereby the comms are all operated by one state approved telecoms corporation? Know how to lay thousands of miles of fiber and copper do you? Launch your own satellite?

lol. mate your dealing with hackers who invented things like the little white box. all they need is an access point and they can setup or take over a server anywhere in the world. just because you dont understand how, doesnt mean it cant or wont be done.

mate your giving the clowns in government to much credit.
india for instance banned porn off there web. 2 days later they had to lift the ban.
fact is mate the web only exists because users are willing to pay for it, if you censor it to much people will stop using it, and that affects profits.
if profits drop to much then shareholders get angry and start paying lobbyists to petition for changes in the laws.

and yes i think its bad now that why we have to call them on there b.s now and every day. because we live in a democracy not a dictatorship.
