gps tracking from friend finder

Can friend finder locate previous places you were at prior to installing friend finder or only tracks you from the date of installation.

1. Install "Friend finder", or whatever the app is. Set it up, add a friend or two.
2. Call a friend, ask him "Can yo use where I was yesterday?".
