Hey folks!I bought my first Android device,a Samsung Galaxy Mini yesterday. But,as soon as I tried to use the Navigation app that i got with the phone,I noticed a problem:the phone constantly asks for a WiFi connection.I`m wondering if there`s a way to use Google`s Navigation app just by turning GPS on.
Thanks in advance,Srdjan.

It usually depends on the carrier in regard to whether the internal GPS is activated or not. It sounds like it is using cell tower location for GPS if it is asking for a connection. I'd get in touch with the your carrier just to double check.

are you using google maps/google nav?

you shouldnt need wifi for them. all i ever turn on is gps. i think that gm/gn get some of the data from your data connection (3g/4g) to load the picture tiles but i know you can preload an area, and go to a zone without 3g/4g signal and the nav still works.
