HP and Lenovo notebook's are know for their bad cooling systems.
Reaching 80c (especially with AMD) is pretty normal.
For good cooling get types of Asus, Msi, Acer, probably some more, but I cannot remember atm.

Though if your Laptop is old and isn't on a Warranty any more, then I would suggest opening it and cleaning the vent holes as well as fans.
and it would also be good to re-apply the thermal paste.
That could help with temps by even up to 20 degrees at Load.

If it's a new Laptop, that's still pretty normal case, you could go to Service and say that your laptop is over-heating and shutting down. They should be forced to clean it for you, so that you don't lose warranty, or even more luckily replace it, if they find some actual part malfunctioning.
It isn't a crime, if there is a problem with it, after all that is what warranty is for.
