Graphics card has no video

Hello I own a msi am1m motherboards with and athlon 5350 and 4gb ddr3 ram I recently bought a graphics card from amazon evga gt 730 2gb gddr5 and when I plug it into my computer nothing will show up on screen but when I remove it my computer is fine I was wondering if it was my motherborde or something else please help

Hi, Are you connecting the monitor to the card, and not the motherboard?
If yes, and still no go, try updating the board's BIOS.
