Im looking for an HP or Dell laptop under 1200CAD that can handle adobe ps, indd, most Microsoft office apps, skype, browsers. all at the same time without hanging. Can you recommend?

my boss prefers hp or dell? are these brands really sturdier?

Dell is more business oriented than hp and acer. I would say that dell is sturdier than hp but this depends on the laptops we are talking about.
