question, does it have blue tooth, and if so, how does one turn it on? I just got this (used), don't have a manual and was looking for a simple solution (e.g., icon?) to allow me to link my note (galaxy) to my acer -- didn't see it, couldn't do it.

Need the full model number from underneath as some 1830 models may not have shipped with BT support.
There's no model called simply "1830", they all have further numbers after '1830' and maybe some letters too.

Even if yours hasn't got BT, you can add it by means of a USB BT adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Network-Bluetooth/SubCategory/ID-295

does it have a WiFi switch? sometimes the same switch turns on/off both Bluetooth and WiFi.
