[citation][nom]truehighroller[/nom]Because that's what direction companies like Microsoft and Activision want games to head in. They want to milk me and you for every last dime possible by charging money for them to make an extra three maps later down the road and charge us for them rather then just letting us make them our selves and share them with every one like it used to be, that's why. Sad isn't it?[/citation]
This is why I support PC gaming. Modding FTW!

Wow - that's a lotta smack for a set of dolls and books. I guess if there's a market for it, why not?

As for the collector's nonsense - let's be real. Yes there are occasions when something can be cashed in, but for the most part large collections of anything are just junk (think Beanie babies, crystal sets, etc).

[citation][nom]Jonnydough[/nom]What part of "COLLECTOR'S EDITION" do you people not understand? Imagine if you had one of these unopened eighty years from now...give it to your kid when he/she is old enough to actually understand the value of passing something on from one generation to the next.Oh wait, we don't do that anymore. I forgot we don't buy hardwood furniture, just that crap from China they sell at Evil-mart. Instead we waste our money on something that has no real life value...like video games. Oh well, we can always drink our beer and eat our pizza sitting on the floor in front of the tv.[/citation]

149.99 for a video game, some dolls, and some pieces of paper.

and I thought activision was bad with the dlc.....

DUDE.... I love beer and pizza!

Why is it bad for them to sell this. If you don't want it don't buy it. No one is forcing you to purchase this. You can still buy, just the game if you wish. Not sure why so many people complain about a company making money. No one is holding a gun to your head. Oh, and by the way, most of us have jobs because we work for companies that make a profit. Who are we to decide how much of a profit they make, oh I forgot we americans now live in the socialist republic of america, so I guess the government should set the price. Really?

Lame, I will play this new Halo for 3 months as I did with all of them then move on wishing it was more like the first two. I'm kinda glad bungie is moving on after this one.
