Hard drive upgrade

Can i upgrade the 500gb harddrive internal HD to a 1TB sata internal hard drive in my Acer Aspire 7551-7422 Laptop considering I get the right spec for HD tray

could you look at the 500 and take model name and maker so you could see if a 1 tb with same size will fix acer do not give any details on this

If it fits, it will work. Replace PATA with PATA and SATA with SATA.
It will work if the old HDD is also a SATA.
PATA is not used anymore, but it was until a few years ago, and occasionally one can find a PATA drive inside an old laptop.
