I have a hearing problem And my television set which is the Samsung 1080 P is hooked up to a sound bar Optically also I use DirectTV. I have the headset hooked up to the DirectTV audio out that I can use and the wife can still hear from the sound bar at the same time. I have been beating my head to the wall trying to figure out how to fix this problem if I go to any my streaming services through the internet which is done through Wi-Fi like Netflix or Amazon I hear the audio thru the sound bar but it by-passes the DirectTV box. Help with this would be so very appreciated

The issue is my Samsung HDTV has no headset output or audio out I'm open to any kind of headset I don't know how to hook it up so I can get both my DirectTV audio and my Wi-Fi streamend audio (netflix/amazon) etc. My sound bar is hooked up to the TV through a optical connection. So I don't know what to do if someone made a sound bar that could stream Bluetooth audio to a headset that would solve the problem but I have not been able to find anything at the animal is something exist that would definitely solve the problem

there are various types of headsets available. I had picked up some Sony's several years ago so my grandfather could listen to pumped up volumes and not have to blase the Bose system.

Ideally, you would want to have a soundbar or reciever/speakers that has an audio out line on it of sorts.

Basically you can either connect all devices to a reciever/soundbar, and use that to change inputs... or connect everything to the tv and use that to change inputs. If you're netflix/hulu are built into the TV (rather than a dvd player) , you'll want to connect everything to the TV so that the soundbar is at the end of the chain. But, you'd have to have an ouput line/channel on soundbar in order to use headphones if your TV has no other output

Yes I have an optical connection from my Samsung television to my sound bar I guess the only solution to the problem would be to find a sound bar that has Bluetooth out as well as Bluetooth in that way I can use my Apple devices to play music or whatever through my sound bar and if necessary I can use the sound bar to send Bluetooth to a Bluetooth headset I don't see why that is a problem is there such a soundbar?

i know many have the bluetooth input, though.. as for output, i can't say i've noticed or not whether thats a common feature...
